Who Are We

About the Creator

Jayme Austin, RDH
Licensed Dental Hygienist

Jayme Austin is a Registered Dental Hygienist who has been practicing since 2010, with over a decade of experience working directly in long-term care.

In addition to her clinical work, she owns and operates a mobile dental hygiene service that supports multiple long-term care facilities. Through this work, she has provided care for residents with a wide range of needs, including those with dementia, complex medical conditions, and resistance to care.

Her experience has provided a clear understanding of both the clinical side of oral health and the day-to-day realities faced by care teams.
How It Was Developed

Built from Real-World Experience

Staff are often committed and compassionate, but may feel unsure how to provide oral care safely, especially in more complex situations. Oral care requires not only time, but also confidence, adaptability, and the right approach to be delivered effectively within daily routines.

This training was developed to
bridge that gap.

It provides clear, practical guidance that reflects what actually happens in long-term care—helping staff feel more confident while supporting facilities in delivering consistent, high-quality, resident-centered care.
